Shauna Magrath CPCP, is a passionate dedicated humanitarian entrepreneur & philanthropist. She created BEAUTYINK® in 2008 to help those suffering the physical effects of diseases and disorders that limit their ability to look and feel their best every day.  As a true survivor in her own right and being neurodivergent, Shauna has compassion and understanding for life that gives her the ability to empathize with all walks of life in her community.

Once a small-town girl with a dream, Shauna Magrath of BEAUTYINK® is one of Canada’s top cosmetic tattoo specialists and a global thought leader and pioneer in the fields of permanent makeup (PMU) and scalp micro-pigmentation (SMP). An award-winning business owner and speaker who operates with the highest standards, Magrath trains PMU and mentors SMP artists around the world.

Magrath struggled with ADHD, OCD, and dyslexia in school until she immersed herself in an artistic field. For 30 years, she was a special effects (FX) makeup artist in the film industry and won Emmy Honours in 2008 for Outstanding Makeup. She then shifted her talents to the permanent cosmetics and micro-pigmentation industries and trained diligently under Rhonda Vacanti, Kristina Melnicenco, Mary Ritcherson, Tina Davies, Daria Chuprys, Stacie-Rae Weir, Vicky Martin, and Jody Stoski.

Since opening her award-winning permanent makeup studio BEAUTYINK® in Vancouver, BC in 2008, she’s completed over 8,000 procedures and has been one of only a few certified permanent cosmetic professional (CPCP) trainers in Canada. She possesses over 60 certificates for cosmetic and paramedical tattooing, microblading and SMP, including the highest level of certification in PMU through the Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals (SPCP). She’s overcome life’s worst obstacles, and tenacity is a key to her success.

Magrath’s neurodiversity not only gives her an acute eye for detail, but has helped to define her ability with skin tones, colour theory, and design to create natural beauty transformations. It’s also a superpower to be able to work upside down and backwards! Through BEAUTYINK®, Magrath has offered 3D areola restorative cosmetic and paramedical tattooing to empower those challenged with vision impairment, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, Tourette Syndrome, Alopecia and those who have survived the physical effects of cancer. Her work is a gift for those who are unable to put on makeup and want to look like themselves without the difficulties makeup application brings.

An international keynote speaker since 2012, Magrath has shared her techniques and knowledge on SMP and has trained students with her Manual SMP™ method around the world.

She will be presenting in Dubai in march 2022 at the world conference plus she has presented at the international SPCP Conference in Las Vegas and attended the Meeting of the Minds conference in London, England, where she was nominated for Best SMP Artist in North America. In 2019, Magrath shared her expertise with articles published in HuffPost Canada. An ambassador for top brands such as Perma Blend Pigments and Kwadron Tattoo Supplies, her passionate and detailed artistry was also featured on CityTV, W Network, and the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Dedicated to advancing and elevating her industry, Magrath recently launched SMP Essentials™ to provide an in-depth fundamental education for a prosperous career in SMP. She also created the first-of-its-kind advanced Manual SMP™ method and other manual PMU techniques she will share in the near future to give new skills to the next generation of dedicated SMP artists globally.
